This half compilation, half new album from one of America's post popular CCM artists is very pleasant. The use of acoustic guitar and strings section is delightful and abundant, in the case of the latter, a little too abundant. There are too many slow ballads and not enough like the upbeat title track. One has to wait 'til track nine, "Material Magic" to get a similar sound (1980s Toto, I think!). The acoustic guitar on "The Touch Of The Master's Hand" (excellent lyrics here, comparing the work of God to the work of a violin maker) is also quite similar to that on another of his Christian radio hits from yesteryear, "Watercolour Ponies". It's a very well crafted, something old-something new album which improves with each play. By the way, I swear it's Christopher Cross on track 11.

I had seen the videos for "It's Time", the newly recorded version of " The Touch of the Master's Hand"
and "There is a Greater Love". I have the original recording of Wayne's first attempt at Touch of the Master's Hand from his first debut in 1980; both recordings are commendable, I prefer 1980 version.
I have always loved "Watercolor Ponies" great song Wayne wtg. I have the vinyl pressing for 1985 album
"Giants in the Land" great ccm; 3 songs from this ccm classic are heard on this collection. The songs are
"Somewhere in the World", Looking out for #1" and
"Peace that Passes Understanding". This body of works only covers a span of 8 years, was kind of expecting a wider span. God bless, Don
