This is the second offering from Chicago's The Fold following on from their impressive debut 'This Too Shall Pass'. This has all the hallmarks of their first offering from the sharp, vibrant anthems to the catchy, infectious hooks. However this album tackles some edgier and darker material. The first four tracks zip by with energy and verve, notably on the opening track "Medicine" and the title track. Things slow down a little ironically on the track "Faster Still" which only serves to highlight the personal nature of the lyrics. This is a raw yet beautiful journey through remembrance and loss, experience and love. Daniel Castady the lyricist and lead singer draws you into an intimate and personal place where you feel his pain and emotions come to life in the words. However the greatest tribute is that this leaves you full of hope and inspiration that despite all the troubles life may bring faith can not only sustain you but bring you through. "Hey Rebekkah" calls us to "breathe in breathe out and know that we are alive" and this overriding theme of hope and perseverance comes alive in this work.
