This 2005 release launched onto the US national scene a Houston-born rapper who grew up in San Diego and Denver and brings a tough gangsta sound to the world of Christian hip-hop, particularly on "Represent" which will remind mainstream hip-hop followers of Lil' John. Elsewhere there is an energetic rock rap "Crossover" and the synth-driven "Who U Wit". The slower and more meditative "Take Me As I Am" documents the rapper's struggle to accept God's grace after a luridly sinful past. All in all, this is a quality album from a man clearly able to disciple youth on the gritty streets of Dallas.

Product Description
Hip-Hop has always been Lecrae's preferred form of communication but it wasn't until he was rescued by Christ at 19 that his music reflected his faith. Skilful lyrics and infectious beats connect with the listener emotionally and at the same time deliver sound Biblical truth.

didnt get a chance to listen the las album but the first album was def inspirational. i dnt think u relize how many ppl u r really inspiring jus by preachn the gospel in each of ur songs and also tellin ur life story. alot of young ppl dnt think that "christians" orginiate from poor habitat so for you to rap about that in ur songs motivates kids to listen and go about their lives jus by a 3 min song. So appriciate ur album and pray that your album reaches out world wide. My son is 2 years old and he already loves the album, well the beat.
Wish you all the best may God bless you in ever aspect of your life and b with you on ur journy!
